Bayliss & Booth are proud to be agents for possibly the best loved cookers for professional chefs. Indulge your inner Raymond Blanc, Delia Smith, Rowley Leigh or Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall to name but a few and join the long list of chefs, food writers and journalists who wouldn’t cook on anything else.
With a history stretching back over 200 years when the foundry was established in the Burgundy village of Lacanche, range cookers are still being produced for both the commercial and domestic markets. Solid and built to last, they are deceptively simple and easy to use and maintain whilst giving you a truly professional performance and there is an LPG option for those with non mains gas.

But don’t let us try to persuade you. Here’s Jan from Shorwell who tells us why she bought a Lacanche and why she bought it from Bayliss & Booth…

“I had an Alfa which is similar to an Aga which I couldn’t get fixed when it went wrong so I was looking for a replacement range and as I’m out in the deep sticks of Shorwell needed something electric. The Aga had been the focal point of my kitchen and I wanted to replicate that and while chatting to Carole at Bayliss & Booth she said that they were looking into becoming stockists for Lacanche. I had considered Lacanche but up until that point I thought I’d have to go to the closest showroom, which is in Redhill to see one, so I said that if Bayliss & Booth were agents for Lacanche, I’d be their first customer. And before we knew it, they were agents and we had ordered one. I wanted something impressive, easy to cook with and not oil or gas which we don’t have here and so it was the perfect solution. I’ve always shopped at Bayliss & Booth and they’ve regularly got different unique things in the shop, on trend items with an emphasis on good quality and I just knew that, even though it was quite an expensive piece of kit, I trust Carole’s opinion and so I knew that I couldn’t really go wrong. Pete’s also very good on the technical side which was great – I had to have part of my kitchen rebuilt around the new cooker and Carole provided that service too. She has vision and whatever she suggests, I take on board because ‘Carole will know what to do’!”

So, come in store to discover just why you need a Lacanche cooker in your life. All those chefs can’t be wrong…
